Friday

That day we went to Seville.

First, we visited the General Archive of the Indies that is the repository of extremely valuable archival documents illustrating the history of the Spanish Empire in the Americas and the Philippines. Our guide explained us that the employees who work there study these documents in order to understand their society and to recollect information about them.

Then, we visited Seville Cathedral which is the largest Gothic cathedral and the third-largest church in the world. The guide told us about its history and its main characteristics. Later, some of us went to the Giralda, which is a tower of 104’1m height.

Finally, we went to The Alcazar of Seville, which is a royal palace originally developed by Moorish Muslim Kings. It is considered as one of the most beautiful palaces in Spain and one of the most outstanding examples of mudejar architecture found on the Iberian Peninsula.

When we arrived, most people hung out for dinner. It was such a fantastic day!
